We always have that one friend or person around us who eats like there is no tomorrow but still is very slim and doesn’t gain weight even after eating so much. We envy them and think that it must be their gene that makes them effortlessly slim.
But there might be things that they must be doing right without realizing it. Habits which you can inculcate in your daily routine. Here are things they might be doing right.
To satisfy one’s hunger is not similar to getting stuffed. Eating so much that you so are so full is a complete No-No. If the scale of satiating hunger is 100%, there is no need to eat till 100%. Slim people around you must be eating 60%-70% on the scale. But how will you know that you are full? It takes approximately 20 minutes for your brain to register that you are full. So the key to receiving this signal is to Eat Slow.
It is a very important step and most of us usually go wrong here. Due to our fast lifestyle, we end up eating too fast leading to over-eating. Eating slow will help you digest your food better leading to weight-loss.
Make friends with Occasional Hunger.
Three meals a day is ideal and a necessity. But not always. Skipping few meals in your life won't cause any damage. It is okay to feel hungry and not satiate it. There are people who absolutely cannot tolerate hunger and eat whatever that is there in front of them. This can be very bad for your body especially when you are trying to lose some weight. Don't let hunger control you, instead try to control your hunger.
Focusing on other things in your life.
Slim people around us might be focusing other things in their life. There are many foodie people out there who love food more than anything and it is really difficult for them to redirect this passion towards something else. But it is important to focus on something other than food in your life. You can develop other hobbies which will help you lose weight and distract from thinking Food.
Moving your body is important. If you are a busy person who has to constantly sit in front of a computer screen doing your work then exercise is a must. A walk or at least 5000 to 10000 steps a day can really help in losing weight. Many slim people tend to have a very active lifestyle. They may not be exercising daily but they must be doing something that burns all that fat and calories.
